I was born in Sheffield in 1965 and lived there until the age of 16 when I joined the Army Apprentice College (1981). After serving 14 years and I was posted to many places including Germany, Belize, Falkland’s, and Bruni these are just a few of many countries I was stationed.
I am married to Carol and have two children and three grandchildren. Since leaving the Army in 1995 I moved to Blackpool and since then I have bought and built a small portfolio of Businesses and rental properties.
Outside of Freemasonry, my hobbies include Travel Both in the UK and abroad, Property refurbishments, reading, cooking.
Masonically, I was initiated into Silverwell Lodge No 5266 Bolton in 1999. I then became a joining member of 5 other Craft lodges all of which I have served as Worshipful Master. I became a Provincial Steward in 2006 promoted to Past Provincial Junior Deacon and currently hold the rank of Past Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies.
I was exalted in St John’s Chapter 221 in Bolton in 2002 and became 1st Principal in 2006. I was promoted to Provincial Steward in 2012 and currently hold the rank of Past Provincial 2nd Asst Soj.
I became a member of the Lodge of Good Report Chapter Rose Croix in 2009 and received my 30th degree in 2018, and currently a member of 2 Chapters one which meets in London.
I recently joined the Allied degree in 2018 but slowly and steadily progressed through my Lodge.
I became more active in Freemasonry since joining the Mark Degree in 2005. I was advanced in Manchester Keystone Lodge 745 in 2005 and became a joining member of Union 32 in 2008. I progressed through the chair in 2011 for the first time in the Mark Degree and was made Provincial Steward in 2014 then Provincial Junior Warden 2016 and GStwd in 2019. I am currently the Master of Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge 1272 of East Lancashire. I was appointed an APGM in 2021. I am currently a member of seven Mark Lodges in East Lancashire and a member of the Grand Stewards Lodge.
I joined the Progress Lodge of Royal Ark Mariner Degree in 2005 became Commander in 2014. I’m now a member of 4 RAM lodges and hold the rank of Prov.R.A.M.G.R
