Brethren, I hope you are all keeping safe and well and looking forward to the start of Freemasonry again, as we know it, whenever that happens.

We are now in our ‘Festival Year’ which started immediately after the original date for the celebration of the Kent Festival, 13th June 2020. As you are aware, our Festival culminates with a banquet which will be held on Saturday, 3rd July 2021 at Old Trafford Football Club. You are now able to book your places at this notable event and I do urge you to reserve your places early as demand is likely to be significant. I also take the opportunity of reminding you, as I have done on many occasions throughout the past 5 years, that these events occur in our Province once every 42 years so it is an occasion not to be missed. Despite the lockdown measures which have been in force for the past 3 months work continues towards the Festival Banquet and I am grateful to the members of the Banquet Committee for their ongoing commitment and the Mark Benevolent Fund personnel for their support. We are all looking forward to a most enjoyable evening shared with friends from throughout the Constitution.

As you may imagine, the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the level of donations being received for the Festival and again, I do hope that you will consider a personal donation in lieu of your regular giving in your Lodge meetings. Appropriate forms to facilitate giving can be found in the ‘Festival’ section of the website. Any help you are able to give will be greatly appreciated and will, of course, count towards your individual honorifics.
