July was a quiet month for the residents group, but we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon of fellowship and laughter, and a beautiful Carrot cake for refreshments, made by Gordon Rosbotham. At the August meeting we welcomed back “Dottie” a schoolfriend of Gordons, who gave a talk on the origins of pub signs which was very interesting.
The work on the bungalows is now complete and the roofs are now ready for the winter (see photo).
New bell pushes with door release buttons have been installed, which means no more having to get up and go into the hall to answer the door. Instead it can now be done from the comfort of your armchair, which is a godsend to some of us….Thank you ELMBF !
