We have been contacted by the Province of Cumberland and Westmorland informing us that the Provincial Grand Master,  Keith Hodgson has opened a fund for the relief of those who have been affected by the floods that followed the  torrential rain in the Province.

We have all seen the news reports of the emergency services  working hard to manage the effects of the floods and of the families who have been evacuated from their homes, not once but twice in a week. The scenes of devastated Communities and wrecked homes will mean that this Christmas time will be very hard for those affected.

At the Royal Ark Mariner Assembly on the 8th December the Pro Grand Master announced that the The Mark Benevolent Fund had already made a donation of £25,000.

The East Lancshire Mark Benevolent Fund  have  sent a Donation of £1,000 on behalf of  the Provincial Grand Master Alex S. McLaren & the Mark Brethren of East Lancashire.
