Through the history of Mark Masonry, support of those in need and requiring assistance has been demonstrated in our charity giving. The Booth Centre in Manchester is a community based centre operated to assist people affected by homelessness. It provides an opportunity for those individuals to belong, to gain a purpose and to rebuild their lives.
The centre engages in various activities such as volunteering, creative projects and sports, as well as training and help to gain employment. They support people to improve health and wellbeing, to access emergency accommodation, and to secure and maintain a permanent home.
The Provincial Grand Master RWBro John Hartly Smith is committed, on behalf of the Mark Masons of East Lancashire to support this and other Charities working in and with local communities. In that regard, he is pleased to announce that the Mark Benevolent Fund has awarded a grant of £35,376 to the Booth Centre to upgrade their IT equipment and to install a new and inclusive audio-visual suite.
Where is it? The Booth Centre is located at Edward Holt House, Pimblett Street, M3 1FU near Strangeways. You can see what they do by clicking this link. https://www.boothcentre.org.uk/
