On Tues 16th February 2016, the PGM the RWBro Alexander Sillars McLaren made a pastoral visit to Fabric Mark No. 939 at the Masonic Buildings, Rochdale escorted by the ProvAGDC W.Bro Stephen J Lawlor PProvGJW.

The purpose of the visit was to present a Mark Benevolent Fund Collarette to the Lodge which the Worshipful Master Bro Michael Church-Taylor received with much pride. The PGM stated he was very confident that the Lodge would go on to achieve Grand Patron Gold status in the future!

A bonus on the evening was that the PGM witnessed an extremely well worked Ceremony of Advancement by the Master & Officers to welcome into the Degree Bro Alex Cummins a Master Mason of St Chads lodge no 1129.

The Festive Board was enjoyed by all Brethren, the highlight being the toast to the candidate by his proposer WBro. Graham Rawlinson to which Bro Cummins very ably replied.

The WM brought the proceedings to an end by thanking the Brethren for their attendance and wishing them a safe journey home.
