St John’s TI of Mark Masters No 2 Lodge held their installation meeting on Thursday, 10th March at Bolton Masonic Hall.
In attendance was VWBro David H Thompson, APGM, accompanied by 8 brethren and including 2 acting officers of the year. There were a few members absent due to various issues. Still, the meeting was opened up at 6:30 pm by the secretary WBro John E Green who conducted the installation of WBro Ivan Millington, PProvGJW [West Lancs], master elect. The newly installed Worshipful Master then proceeded to install his officers.
WBro John E Green gave a short history of the deacon’s wands and back in the day when they had a different top from the Dove.
With the business of the Lodge being ended, it was closed at 7:35. Onto the social board were 8 brethren sat down to a hearty 3-course meal. All in all an enjoyable evening. Thomas Stewart Mills.
