Salford Lodge of RAM 994 and Salford Mark Lodge No 994 meeting took place at Hemsley House, 41 Crescent, Salford on Thursday 7th April 2016.

Salford RAM tyled at 5.45pm and Salford Mark tyled at 7.00pm. The Lodge was honoured by the presence of RW Provincial Grand Master Bro. Alexander S. McLaren and accompanied by a Provincial Escort of 18 Acting Provincial Officers of the year, in support of the Provincial Charity Steward, WBro Dennis Schiff, a member of both Lodges.
We were also honoured by the presence of VWBro Jeffrey Huddart, APGM, and WBro Anthony Davis, APGM.

At Salford Lodge of RAM 994, WBro Terence Bailey was proclaimed as the continuing Worshipful Commander for the ensuing year. The Proclamation was done in a sincere manner by the Director of Ceremonies PC Trevor E Parvin.

At Salford Mark Lodge No. 994, the gavel was offered to R.W. Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Alexander S. McLaren by the Worshipful Master WBro Anthony Davis, APGM which he took graciously and proceeded with the minutes of the meeting. Two cheques were presented to our PGM – £100 for ELMBF and £100 to the Festival 2021. The main item of business was to receive a short presentation given by WBro John Astbury relating to the Lodge event in support of the 2021 Festival. The main event will be the Race Night to be held at Hemsley House on 12th November 2016. The Charity Evening promises to be an exciting night with various ways of winning races. More information will be forthcoming to all the Lodges soon.

At the Festive Board, 39 sat down to dine. Acting Immediate Past Master VWBro Ronald Gilks said it was an excellent meeting in the manner it proceeded and it was so good to see such a large number of members and visitors which make all the difference. He wished a prosperous year for both Salford RAM and Mark in their transitional times.The raffle made £430, The Charity Plate donation was £132 and Founders Club made £215 giving the total of £787 raised on the night. The Charity Plate money £132 was donated to the Festival 2021 fund a very generous offer indeed.

    What a good night well supported and WBro Dennis Schiff did a great job extracting even more money out of us all for good causes. My wallet keeps shouting “Ouch”. Well done Dennis all indications (£787)point to you having a great year unlike our wallets.
