The Provincial meeting was again a great success and I have had many compliments on the friendship and humour and the quality of the procedures amongst everyone who attended, my congratulations to all the newly appointed and promoted officers and look forward to joining all the acting officers on our team visits this coming year.
We once again had a well supported trip to London for the Grand Investiture at Great Queen Street, with a full carriage on the train and again we were well catered for by the Grand Stewards, my thanks to Malcolm McCarthy for all the travel and hotel arrangments, he really is a most fantastic organiser and seems to know all the Virgin Rail staff and hotel staff by their first names. We had the highest number of any Province in the country at the dinner after Grand Lodge, a fact that was not lost on the High Rulers of our order. It really was a very enjoyable trip and my thanks to all who attended for the support.
