On Monday, 3rd November2014, 83 brethren, including the R.W.Provincial Grand Master, attended the Installation Meeting of the Lodge.

The WM, W.Bro. Dr. John Walters, opened the Lodge following which, there was a eulogy for W.Bro. Jeffrey Rhodes. In the course of the subsequent business, donations of £500 to the 2021 Festival, £100 to ELMBF and £200 towards the cost of the Provincial meeting were approved. The WM was pleased to present the cheques to the RW Provincial Grand Master who expressed his thanks for the Lodge’s generosity.

The WM then installed V.W.Bro. John Crawford, P.G.J.O. as Worshipful Master, in a very polished manner following which, the WM appointed and invested his Officers.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the brethren retired to the Social Board with 80 dining.

In his address, the RW Provincial Grand Master made reference to the recent race night which had been held by Temperance Lodge and which raised £500 on the night, proceeds going to the 2021 Festival. He expressed the wish that all Lodges would consider holding one social event each year as a pleasurable way of raising funds in support of the Festival.
