An enjoyable evening was had by all on Monday night in wild and windy Uppermill for the Advancement Ceremony of Bro.Roy Tindall.
The WM, WBro Ian Wolstencroft ably assisted by the Officers of Union Lodge 171, performed the first of two Advancements in the current season. (A particular mention must go to the Junior Warden, Bro Eric “Clint” Howarth for his impromptu musical addition to the ceremony !)
The evening concluded with a convivial Social Board helped by a contingent of visiting Brethren from neighbouring Yorkshire West Riding declaring the soup at Uppermill “the best in all Christendom” – fine praise indeed !”

Was a very enjoyable fraternal mark evening the ceremony was conducted with feeling and i still say it’s the best soup in chritendom thanks once again
